BEFORE:
Albrecht Durer, circa 1471-1528, painted countless masterpieces
including many religious paintings. This piece, the massacre
of 10,000 Christians was filled with images of death and dying.
This shows the painting before altering. |
AFTER:
To make a more visually pleasing (in my opinion) painting, I
covered up all the horrible stuff using various papers and pieces
cut from magazines. Here is my altered version. |
AFTER:
The book on Durer also showed a close-up of one section of the
painting, so you can see all the torture in detail. This I altered,
too. |
A CLOSER LOOK:
Seven things were added to this painting. Can you locate them? |
