The Wine and the Music

These are my pages from a book going around in a round robin. I was the second on the list after Joyce, the book's owner.
She got the book off to a fabulous start by gluing a thin piece of cork around a section of the pages.
Then she cut a window on one side to place a wine cork, and cut another window on the other side to hold a
miniature cork screw. So creative! I've included her pages along with mine.

Joyce's page - A cork embedded in cork.

Joyce's beautiful and clever layout including a miniature corkscrew embedded in the page!

Here, I sponged the background, added pieces of wall paper, a narrative on Chardonnay along with the bottle and pictures of white grapes.

 A "corky" layout.

I added a definition of "oaky" and a really neat picture of wine casks. On the right it just seemed like a fun idea to put wine bottles in a bathtub.

Here, I cut a window in an old
piece of sheet music to reveal a
paragraph in the book.

Music washes away from the soul
the dust of everyday life.

Stravinsky has something to say on this page.

Ulysses S. Grant gives his two cents here.
